Meet the Real Genesis Man

The Man Behind the Hero

Dallas Clark
Founder & Director, Cultivating Better Minds

Why He's Here
Dallas Clark was born and raised in Springfield, MA. He is a Man of God who attends Restoration City Church, and he brings a lived experience of the lifestyle of the streets — a firsthand understanding of the very challenges he now helps others overcome. Dallas's transformation began the moment he gave his life to God, setting him on a path from surviving the streets to leading others toward healing.

A Day in His Work
Dallas wears many hats in the service of his community. He is a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach, currently working toward his Community Health Worker certification, and serves as a Volunteer Mentor for the Hampden County Sheriff's Department. He leads the Prison Ministry at Restoration City Church, where, since 2022, he has taught a 12-week curriculum called "Freedom" inside the same jail where he was once a resident. He also founded Men with Purpose, an outreach program, and currently sits on a couple of community boards — all while directing the day-to-day work of Cultivating Better Minds.

My Approach
Every person's journey is different, but the goal is the same: helping people build stable, healthy, purpose-driven lives. Cultivating Better Minds does this by helping people build and maintain recovery, successfully transition after incarceration, connect with housing, employment, education, and community resources, develop healthy relationships and support systems, strengthen their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, discover purpose through faith, mentorship, and service, and become active contributors within their families and communities.

Core Values
Faith • Purpose • Community

Defining Moment
Dallas was released from jail in 2017. By 2018, he was already active in his community, supporting others through the very challenges and barriers he once faced and overcame. In 2023, he founded Cultivating Better Minds Inc. to expand that mission — creating greater opportunities for healing, hope, and transformation throughout the community.
